We also hold vacancies in our Jobstart programme where young people wishing to train with us on a 6 months programme will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position in the future.

Tá An Droichead ar lorg Gaeilgeora mar Oifigeach Tionscadail Óige le clár 'Deisceart Aontaoithe trí Cheannaireacht Fhorásach' a sholáthar. An Droichead seeks a Youth Project Officer to deliver the PLUS (Positive Leadership Uniting South) programme.
PLUS, a joint initiative of An Droichead and South Belfast Alternatives (SBA), is a Personal Youth Development Programme (PYPD) funded by the International Fund for Ireland (IFI). Participants are young people aged 16-25 NEETS, from both the CRN and PUL communities across Inner South and South-West Belfast.
PLUS aims to help young people build and develop life skills that foster good relations, build confidence and resilience, and make them more employable.
The project will be delivered by two 2 key workers: a Youth Project Co-ordinator (based in SBA) and Youth Project Officer (based in An Droichead).
The face-to-face programme with young people will run at least 3 days per week, with at least 1 day a week joint delivery. The other days will be spent in preparation and administration.'

Applicants must:
a) Hold NVQ Level 2 Childcare, Learning and Development , or an equivalent qualification
b) Have a minimum of 1 year’s experience working in an early years setting
c) Have good basic Irish language speaking and understanding skills

- To undertake any additional aspects of childcare work according to need.
- To respect and value colleagues, children, parents/carers and visitors, promoting a positive and diverse working environment.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required by the Childcare services Manager and/or Management Committee.
