Duais an Oideachais ó Ghlór na nGael bronnta ar An Droichead | An Droichead take Education prize at Glór na nGael awards
Bronnadh duais an rannóg oideachais ar An Droichead ag Gradaim Ghlór na nGael in Óstán na Cúirte, Gaoth Dobhair, ar an Satharn. Ghlac Fionnuala Nic Thom an duais, thar ceann An Droichead.
Is é seo an chéad uair ó bhuail an phandéim, go raibh ócáid bhronnta Ghlór na nGael ar siúl. Is iad Comharchumann Mhic Dara, ón Cheathrú Rua, a ghlac an Phríomhdhuais ar an oíche.
Bronnadh an duais oideachais ar An Droichead, mar gheall ar an obair a rinneadh i rith na pandéime leis na ranganna a reachtáil ar líne, agus an modh hibrideach teagaisc atá forbartha do na ranganna, chomh maith le hiarrachtaí eile ó thaobh oideachais de.
Tá stair láidir ag An Droichead le comórtas Ghlór na nGael. Bhain muid an phríomhduais amach sna blianta 2005, agus 2009.
Ba mhaith linn ar mbuíochas a ghabháil le Glór na nGael ar son an chuidiú a thugann siad dúinn i rith an ama.
An Droichead were presented with the Education prize at the Glór na nGael awards in An Chúirt Hotel in Gaoth Dobhair on Saturday night. Fionnuala Nic Thom accepted the award on behalf of An Droichead.
This was the first time since the arrival of the pandemic, that this event has taken place. On the night, it was Comharchumann Mhic Dara, from An Cheathrú Rua, who took the top prize.
An Droichead received the Education prize, because of the work that was done in providing online lessons during the pandemic, and the development of a hybrid delivery of lessons thereafter, as well as a number of other such efforts.
An Droichead has a strong history in this competition, having taken the main prize in 2005 and 2009.
We’d like to thank Glór na nGael for their continued support.
